FoYW Annual General Meeting and Ordinary General Meeting. Sunday 29th September 2.30pm

The committee will hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Friends of Yeading Walk (FoYW) at 2.30 pm on Sunday 29 September in the park, meeting between the willows.  We warmly invite you to attend.  Kindly inform friends and neighbours who use the park of the AGM.   All are welcome. If the weather is poor, we shall post details in the park of an alternative meeting place later in the week, prior to Sunday 29th.

The Chair and Treasurer will report and the new committee for 2024/25 will be elected. Any interested Harrow member of the FoYW may apply to stand as a committee member although we suggest it’s a good idea to get to know how we work by actively volunteering in the park initially. Questions regarding committee responsibilities can be emailed to the Chair at foywgroup@gmail.com.

Immediately after the AGM, an Ordinary General Meeting (or ‘Open Meeting’ as we have called it previously), will be held.   This is your opportunity to formally consult with the new committee and give us your views about the future of your local park.  The two meetings should be completed in about an hour.  Please join us for this key event and a chat over refreshments.

The outgoing committee greatly appreciates the support and encouragement of the Friends Group during this year.

The Chair’s report and Treasurer’s report for 2023/24 are attached as well as the Minutes of the 2023 AGM.  Your attention is drawn to the Addendum at the end of the Minutes which provides a response to the complaint raised by the former Secretary at the 2023 AGM.

This is your local park, and your voice counts. We have seen big changes in the park with Harrow Council’s ‘Yeading Brook Unbound’ project.  We look forward to hearing your ideas about the future for the park and any concerns you wish to raise.

I look forward to seeing you at the AGM.

Regards

Mary Wayne
